Goa is known for the various kinds of initiatives it takes, be it IFFI or the various kind of contemporary art and literature festivals. However, Serendipity arts festival is different, and its second edition commenced on Goa on 16th of this month. The festival is known to fascinatethe audience with the sort of talent that is kept at display. The festival would showcase almost 70 performing art genres both of veteran artist and newbies, all of them coming together to a single platform.
The whole journey through Serendipity Arts festival would satisfy the thirst for an ardent art lover’s quest for good quality works. The extent of creativity would break all the barriers in the art form and pulls us into an abyss of incredible content. The show is thoughtfully curated by celebrated artists like Lillete Dubey and AnuradhaKapur. AnuradhaKapur is a theatre artist who was awarded the SangeetNatakAkademi Award for Direction and Lillete Dubey, an actress known for her role in theatre and films, hailing from Pune.
Other curators include RanjitHoskote and RiyasKomu. RanjitHoskote, a contemporary poet and independent curator and RiyasKomu, well-known artist and sculptor known for curating the Kochin International Biennale as well. Photography section is curated by Prashant Panjiar, known for his documentary photography. And the culinary section is curated by Odette Mascarenhas, often called ‘the culinary queen of Goa’ and Manu Chandra, the chef-partner of famous Toast and Tonic.
Apart from this, the presence of musicians like Sanjeev Bhargava, Tanushree Shankar, ShubaMudgal and RanjotBarot creates an amazing blend of Classical and contemporary art forms together at Goa. The festival this year focuses on Jazz era. Art transcends all boundaries at ‘Serendipity.’ It overcomes all its limitation by bringing together various talents all across the country.
