India had been doing well in the musical field. In the recent years many amateurs have come up with
their talent and Stars in the sky was the stage for them. It featured those singers who decided not to
go the conventional path of fil music or concerts instead chose to show case their talent through
YouTube, each of them hailing from small towns in India.
The programme featured Shraddha Sharma a singer from Dehradun who began her music career
with YouTube videos. Her first song was a cover to the song “Mein Tenu Samjhawan KI” from the
movie Virsa when she was just 15 years old back in 2011. All her videos had gone viral.
Ritu Agarwal s another singer who was featured. She won the blinds round at Voice India and her
YouTube channel has over 200K subscribers. The show also featured Raj Burman, who mostly does
cover of Arijith Singh songs and the fourth and final was Raga Trippin’ a cappella group which
includes 6 artists from Mumbai. They mostly perform Bollywood and Western pop.

worked with Pandit Ravi Shankar, and is the musical director for all of A.R Rahman’s live concerts. He
also worked as the music director for MTV unplugged season 1 and 2. And adding to the
achievement is the music composition of commonwealth games that happened at Delhi in 2010.
